Overview

Royal Rajasthan Foundation (RR Foundation) sees itself as an enabler in the social impact ecosystem, partnering and mentoring organizations working with empowered women.

Jan Sahas Foundation (JS), Established in the year 2000, Jan Sahas is a national grassroots organization working towards prevention of violence against children and women from the most excluded and marginalized sections of the society. Jan Sahas is working in 72 districts of nine states in the country, supporting >18,200 survivors of gender-based violence, 7400 survivors of trafficking (for sexual exploitation and forced labour) and 6,800 girls (as young as 12 years) forced into the inhumane practice of caste based commercial sexual exploitation.

Access to mental health care is a challenge in India, given the lack of services available and the stigma and discrimination associated with mental health. Marginalized communities face additional stressors and challenges in accessing mental health care. To address these barriers, Royal Rajasthan Foundation has collaborated with Jan Sahas Foundation to train frontline workers to generate awareness to tackle social and self-stigma related to mental health and to enhance the response and referral mechanism. This program, in alignment with Foundation's mandate, will be implemented with a focus on women and girls' mental health care awareness.
