Even after a spectacular IPL debut campaign that saw him win the Super Striker of the Season award, Rajasthan Royals’ teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is not ready to rest on his laurels.
The explosive southpaw wants to keep on raising the bar and hopes to go all the way with his team next season.
“Playing the IPL is like a dream for everyone. It was my first season and I got a lot of positives and I also learnt a lot in terms of what I can do for the team in the next season,” Vaibhav Sooryavanshi told the IPL website.
“Next year, I will work on areas where I made mistakes and try to improve and do much better for the team,” he added.
The 14-year-old, who smashed a blistering 35-ball 100 against Gujarat Titans and became the youngest IPL centurion, hopes that he can help the Royals to the final next season.
“My learning is that I have to do two times better than what I have done so that my team also plays in the final next year and how much I can contribute to my team, I will focus on that,” he said.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi finished IPL 2025 with 252 runs in seven games at an average of 36.00 and a whopping strike rate of 206.56.
The batting prodigy’s IPL exploits didn’t go unnoticed as he was named in the India U19 squad for a multi-format tour of England, which he is eagerly looking forward to.
"It is a new tournament. I am going to the UK for the first time, so it will be a new experience. I will experience how the game goes on there," Vaibhav Sooryavanshi said.
"Ayush Mhatre, who played for Chennai Super Kings this time, is our captain. The preparations are going well and it will be a good experience of playing in England and will try to return with the trophy," he added.
Vaibhav and the India U19 team will play a 50-over warm-up game, five Youth ODIs and two multi-day matches against England, starting June 24.
