Rajasthan Royals’ batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi enjoyed a spectacular debut campaign in the Indian Premier League and left an indelible mark by winning the IPL 2025 Super Striker of the Season award.

At the end of the season, the 14-year-old batting sensation finished on top spot in the Super Striker of the Season table with a strike rate 206.55 after seven games.

His impressive strike rate put him ahead of household names like Nicholas Pooran, Abhishek Sharma and Tim David on the Super Striker of the Season table.

After becoming the youngest player in IPL history following his debut against Lucknow Super Giants at just 14 years and 23 days, the teen sensation finished the season with 252 runs in seven games at an average of 36.00 and a whopping strike rate of 206.56.

He also scored one fifty and a century for the Royals in his debut campaign. Sooryavanshi’s century - a blistering 35-ball 100 against Gujarat Titans - also made him the youngest IPL centurion.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi finished his knock against Gujarat Titans on 101 off 38 balls with a strike rate of 265.78 - his best in an innings over the course of the season.

The 14-year-old also went on to hit 11 sixes during his hundred against GT, equalling Murali Vijay’s record of most maximums by a player in an IPL innings.

It was also the fastest century in the IPL by an Indian player and the second-fastest overall.

Even though Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s debut campaign demonstrated his ability to score big runs at a rapid pace, the teenager also showed another side to his game after making a mature 57 off 33 balls in a win against Chennai Super Kings.

His IPL 2025 exploits earned him praise from many legends of the game and helped him earn a call-up to the India U19 squad for an upcoming tour of England.
