Chasing 210 for victory, Rajasthan Royals’ openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi gave the team a blistering start. The 14-year-old Sooryavanshi was particularly ruthless, taking apart Ishant Sharma for 26 runs in the fourth over alone.
He continued the onslaught against Washington Sundar in the next over, hammering 16 more runs to bring up his half-century off just 17 balls.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi didn’t show any signs of slowing down either, as the two brought up the 100 for RR in just 7.4 overs.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi kept his foot on the gas, smashing Karim Janat for 30 runs in the 10th over before striking Rashid Khan for a six in the next over to bring up his century off just 35 balls and score the second-fastest ton and the quickest by an Indian in IPL history.

Jaiswal also brought up his fifty off 31 balls at the start of the 12th over before Sooryavanshi perished after his breathtaking knock with the score at 166/1.
Sooryavanshi's knock consisted of 11 sixes, the most smashed by a Rajasthan Royals player in a single match, surpassing the previous record set by Sanju Samson, who had 10 maximums in an innings.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 161-run partnership is also the highest in RR’s history.
Nitish Rana was the new man in but his stay in the middle was brief after he was dismissed by Rashid Khan in the 13th over.
Riyan Parag joined Jaiswal in the middle next and the right-hander hit 15-ball 32 to ease the Royals to an eight-wicket win with 25 balls to spare.
Earlier in the evening, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and opted to field first, but Gujarat Titans made a strong start as they reached 53/0 by the end of the powerplay.
The Royals broke the opening stand in the 11th over when Sai Sudharsan holed out to Riyan Parag at long-on off Maheesh Theekshana. Jos Buttler then joined Shubman Gill, who had already brought up his half-century.
Gill and Buttler stitched together a brisk 74-run partnership for the second wicket before the Gujarat captain fell for 84 in the 17th over with the score at 167/2.
The Titans finished strongly by hammering 41 runs in the last three overs to post a formidable 209/4 on the board.
Rajasthan Royals will face Mumbai Indians in their next match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Thursday.
