Yashasvi Jaiswal is a product of extreme hard work and perseverance, a story that took shape around the famous Azad Maidan ground in Mumbai. An Under-19 World Cup hero for India, Yashasvi was born in Uttar Pradesh, but moved to Mumbai at the age of 10 and has been breaking records ever since. In 2019, he became the youngest double centurion in the history of List A Cricket at 17 years & 292 days, scoring 203 off 154 deliveries against Jharkhand. Having earned his place in the Mumbai Ranji team as well, Yashasvi established himself as one of the most promising young talents in the country and a future Team India prospect. Showing faith in his potential, the Royals retained him for 2022, making him the second-youngest player to be retained across all IPL teams after Sanju Samson. While the first half of the tournament was a slow burn, Yashasvi bounced back in the second half, scoring a blistering 68 in a stiff chase against Punjab Kings. He carried his IPL form into the Ranji Trophy, where he scored a record hat-trick of centuries, powering Mumbai to the final for the 47th time.
