The stakes couldn’t be higher for Rajasthan Royals when they face five-time champions Mumbai Indians in their final league stage match of the IPL 2026 season at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.

Rajasthan Royals’ hopes for the IPL 2026 playoffs could very well rest on the outcome of the match in Wankhede. A win would see RR qualify for the Eliminator against Sunrisers Hyderabad as the fourth-placed team in the standings.

Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals players
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been the pick of the Royals’ batters this season and is RR’s top-scorer with 579 runs scored at a whopping strike rate of 236.32. He scored a match-winning 93 in the last match against LSG to keep RR in the playoffs race.
Sooryavanshi made a 14-ball 39 against MI earlier this season, memorably hitting Jasprit Bumrah for two sixes in an over, but failed to make the start count. The teenager will hope for a big score on Sunday.
Dhruv Jurel has scored 420 runs and has been enjoying his best IPL campaign ever while Jaiswal has run hot and cold this campaign but still contributed with a handy 370 runs.
