Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell have played the finishers’ role to perfection with match-winning cameos against Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively.

Skipper Sanju Samson was the top-scorer with an unbeaten 82 off 52 balls against LSG last month in their inaugural match of IPL 2024. Walking in at 13/1 after two overs, he stitched a 93-run partnership with Parag to rebuild the Royals’ innings.

Sandeep Sharma and Avesh Khan were brilliant at the death after Trent Boult’s exploits with the new ball and provided the Royals with a winning start to their IPL 2024 campaign beating LSG by 20 runs.

Sandeep Sharma, coming back from injury, starred in the Royals last match against MI with career-best T20 figures of 5/18 off four overs. Sandeep picked up two wickets in the powerplay before returning to pocket three wickets in the last over of the MI innings to be awarded Player of the Match.

Yuzvendra Chahal capped off a memorable night for the Royals’ bowling unit by picking up his 200th wicket in the IPL, the first bowler to do so, and finishing with 1/48.

In matches against LSG in the IPL, Samson is the Royals’ top run-getter with 129 runs from four matches whereas Boult has the most wickets with seven scalps in four games.
