Yudhvir Singh has been named in the 15-member North Zone squad for the Duleep Trophy 2025, which is set to start on August 28.

The 2025 edition of the Duleep Trophy will be the first time that Yudhvir has been called up by the North Zone squad.

The 27-year-old Yudhvir Singh represented the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2025 and took four wickets for the franchise from as many matches. His standout performance came in the Royals’ final match of the season, where he returned figures of 3/47 in a win over Chennai Super Kings.

Established in 1961-62, the Duleep Trophy is named after legendary former Indian cricketer Kumar Shri Duleepsinhji and is the country’s premier zonal first-class tournament.

Matches are played over four days, except for the final, which is a five-day contest.

Yudhvir has played 11 first-class matches so far, accounting for 29 wickets at an average of 28.00.

Yudhvir will be among several Rajasthan Royals players in action at the Duleep Trophy 2025.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tushar Deshpande have been named in the West Zone squad, while Riyan Parag is part of the East Zone team with teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on the standby list.

Central Zone will be led by Dhruv Jurel, who was the Royals’ third-highest run-scorer in IPL 2025 with 333 runs in 14 matches.

North Zone will begin their Duleep Trophy campaign on August 28 with a clash against Riyan Parag’s East Zone. North Zone have won the Duleep Trophy 17 times so far, with their last win coming in 2013-14.
