Rajasthan Royals will look to continue their strong run in IPL 2026 when they face Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2 at the New International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh on Friday.

The Royals head into Qualifier 2 after storming past Sunrisers Hyderabad by 47 runs in the Eliminator at the same venue on Wednesday.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi produced one of the most destructive knocks in IPL playoffs history, smashing 97 off just 29 balls with 12 sixes to propel the inaugural champions to a record 243/8 - the highest score by RR in IPL.
Jofra Archer then led the charge with the ball, removing Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Travis Head to help bowl SRH out for 196 in 19.2 overs.
The victory extended Rajasthan Royals’ unbeaten record at the New International Cricket Stadium to four matches, a stat that will provide further confidence heading into Friday’s clash.
The Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2026 playoffs also presents RR with the opportunity to become only the fourth team in history to reach the final after progressing through the Eliminator route.
GT, meanwhile, finished second in the league standings this season and will be aiming to bounce back after their defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Qualifier 1.

Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals players
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been the standout batter of IPL 2026 and enters Qualifier 2 wearing the Orange Cap with 680 runs in 15 innings at a staggering strike rate of 243.
The 15-year-old also broke Chris Gayle’s record for the most sixes in a single IPL season during his breathtaking Eliminator knock against SRH and now has 65 maximums this season.
Sooryavanshi also enjoys batting against Gujarat Titans. The teenager’s maiden IPL century came against GT and he has scored 168 runs against them at a strike rate of 233.
Yashasvi Jaiswal has also played a crucial role at the top for RR, while Dhruv Jurel has enjoyed his best IPL season with 508 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 155.
Jurel has been particularly consistent of late, registering three half-centuries in his last four innings, including a blistering 50 off just 21 balls against SRH in the Eliminator.
