Powered by a batting masterclass from the prodigious Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, the Royals qualified for the IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 47 runs in the Eliminator.
Overall, RR and GT have faced each other 10 times in the IPL, with the Titans leading the head-to-head record with seven wins, while the Royals have come out on top thrice.
Earlier this season, RR beat GT by six runs in Ahmedabad before the Titans registered a 77-run victory over the Royals in the reverse fixture in Jaipur.
New International Cricket Stadium, New Chandigarh
The New International Cricket Stadium, located in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, also known as the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, is one of the latest international cricket venues in India.
Located near Mohali, the stadium was developed as Punjab’s modern cricketing hub and has a seating capacity of 38000. It is the Punjab Kings’ home ground in the Indian Premier League since 2024.
Known for its lively atmosphere and batting-friendly surface, the ground has already hosted 16 IPL matches, with teams batting first and second winning eight games each.
Interestingly, Rajasthan Royals have won all four of their matches at the venue, including the recent Eliminator triumph over SRH.
The winner of Qualifier 2 will take on defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2026 final on Sunday in Ahmedabad.

Tickets for the GT vs RR IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 match scheduled for Friday, May 29, will be available on the District by Zomato app and website.

Entry to the venue is permitted for all age groups. However, IPL tickets are required for anyone aged two years and above.
Additionally, all persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by and supervised by an adult who also has an IPL ticket for the match.
To ensure a seamless entry, fans are advised to have their tickets ready before arriving at the stadium. Gates will open at around 4:00 PM - three and a half hours before the match starts.
Once IPL tickets are added to the cart, customers have 10 minutes to complete their purchase.
After purchase, digital tickets (M-tickets) cannot be downloaded. Instead, they will be accessible only in the profile section of the District app.
The policy states that all IPL tickets are non-cancellable and non-refundable. Refunds will be issued only if the match is abandoned without a single ball being bowled.
