Vaibhav Sooryavanshi kept up with his trend of collecting new records as he became the fastest player to reach 100 sixes in T20 cricket during Rajasthan RoyalsIPL 2026 match against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur on Saturday.

Chasing GT’s score of 229 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi got the home team off to a flyer as he hit Mohammed Siraj for a massive maximum over long on off the very first ball he faced in the match.

The six saw Vaibhav Sooryavanshi reach the 100 T20 sixes mark in just 515 balls, comfortably shattering Karanbir Singh’s previous record of 813 balls. Kieron Pollard, who took 843 balls to reach the mark, is third on the list.

Romario Shepherd (845) and Sekkuge Prasanna (850) round off the top five.

At just 15 years and 43 days old, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is also now the youngest to hit 100 T20 sixes.

The teenager scored a quickfire 36 off 16 balls before finally falling in the third over.

Earlier this season, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi broke the record for the most sixes in an IPL innings by an Indian player after hitting 12 maximums against Sunrisers Hyderabad en route to a breathtaking 103 off 37 balls.

He reached his 100 in 36 balls in the match, marking the second-fastest IPL century by an Indian. Vaibhav himself scored the fastest - in 35 deliveries - against GT last season.

Overall, the teenager has scored 440 runs in 11 matches this season and is the Royals’ highest run-scorer in IPL 2026 so far. He averages 40 at an impressive strike rate of 236.56.

He also has two half-centuries this season - both coming in just 15 deliveries.
