Dhruv Jurel has been entrusted to lead the India A cricket team in a two-match unofficial Test 2026 series against Sri Lanka A, scheduled from June 25 to July 5 in Galle.

Both four-day matches of the SL-A vs IND-A Unofficial Test 2026 series will be played at the Galle International Stadium.

Dhruv Jurel comes into the series on the back of his most productive IPL season ever. Representing Rajasthan Royals, the wicket-keeper batter slammed 515 runs in 16 matches at an average of 36.79 and a strike rate of 154.65.

He finished as RR’s second-highest scorer in the season only after Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who won the Orange Cap with 776 runs. Jurel’s contributions also played a huge role in the Royals reaching the playoffs.

Jurel also boasts a good record in first class cricket, having scored 2330 runs in 54 games at an average of 52.95. He has scored five centuries in the format with a highest score of 249.

The 25-year-old has also represented India in 10 Tests, scoring 478 runs. Jurel’s most recent international red-ball outing was during the one-off Test against Afghanistan at home earlier this month.
