The trio of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja and Dhruv Jurel are a part of the Indian cricket team that will feature in a warm-up match against the Sri Lanka Cricket XI side in Colombo, starting on Friday.
The India vs Sri Lanka XI warm-up match will start at 10:00 AM IST and will be available for live streaming and telecast on the Sony Sports Network.
The SLCXI vs IND match is scheduled to be a three-day encounter and will be held at Colombo’s Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ravindra Jadeja and Dhruv Jurel, all of whom represent the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, will look to gain valuable match practice and acclimatise to conditions ahead of the two-Test series against Sri Lanka, starting on August 15.
Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel last featured in red-ball cricket during the one-off Test against Afghanistan in June.
Ravindra Jadeja, meanwhile, is set to return to red-ball cricket for the first time since India's Test series against South Africa last November.
While Ravindra Jadeja has played against Sri Lanka in the past, the upcoming warm-up match and two-game series will mark Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel's first red-ball appearances against the island nation.
Ravindra Jadeja has played seven Test matches and has scored 326 runs at an average of 65.20 against Sri Lanka. His highest Test score of an unbeaten 175 also came against the Lankans in 2022.
The experienced all-rounder also boasts an impressive bowling record against Sri Lanka, claiming 33 wickets at an average of 23.73.
