Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Ravi Bishnoi, both members of the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, are a part of the Indian cricket team’s 15-member squad.

The 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi heads into the series after an impressive run across formats.

After becoming the youngest Indian to play international cricket earlier this year, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was the Men in Blue’s leading scorer during their 3-0 T20I series victory in Zimbabwe in July, amassing 151 runs in three matches at an average of 50.33 and a strike rate of 196.10.

He struck 50 off 19 balls in the opening match before making a career-best 81 off 49 deliveries in the third T20I. Sooryavanshi finished the series with two fifties and was named Player of the Series.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who was the Royals’ leading scorer and the Orange Cap winner in the IPL last season, also carried that form into red-ball cricket as he helped East Zone win the Duleep Trophy.

He made 92 off 81 balls in the first innings of the semi-final against defending champions Central Zone, becoming the youngest half-centurion in Duleep Trophy history.

Ravi Bishnoi, meanwhile, also last donned national colours during the Zimbabwe series.

The leg-spinner, a former world No. 1 T20I bowler, played all three matches and picked up a wicket in each, conceding 68 runs from his 12 overs across the series.

Bishnoi has taken 67 wickets in 49 matches at an average of 20.55 and an economy of 7.45 in T20s.

India lead the IND vs AFG T20 head-to-head record having won eight of the nine matches between the teams, while one game ended in no result.
