Yashasvi Jaiswal struck his maiden ODI century for the Indian cricket team in the third game of the three-match IND vs SA 2025 series in Visakhapatnam on Saturday.
The 23-year-old southpaw made an unbeaten 116 off 121 balls at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in an innings laced with 12 fours and two sixes.
The milestone made Yashasvi Jaiswal just the sixth Indian player to score a century in all formats after Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, KL Rahul and Suresh Raina. The southpaw also has seven centuries in Tests and one hundred in T20Is for India.

Set a target of 271 to chase by South Africa, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who represents Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, opened the batting with Rohit Sharma for the Men in Blue.
Jaiswal made a patient start as he took some time to get his eye in before hitting the first four off the 17th delivery that he faced in the fifth over. The next over saw Yashasvi deposit Lungi Ngidi into the stands with a straight six.
Yashasvi and Rohit Sharma brought the 50-run stand for the opening wicket in the 11th over before going on to complete a 100-run partnership nine overs later.
The hard-hitting left-hander brought up his fifty off 75 balls before shifting gears, taking Ngidi for a pair of boundaries and then repeating the treatment against Ottniel Baartman in the 25th over.
Yashasvi and Rohit Sharma’s 155-run opening partnership was finally broken in the next over. However, the left-hander continued to bat fluently, eventually bringing up his maiden ODI ton off 111 balls in the 36th over.
After scoring his hundred, Yashasvi hit another six and a couple of fours to help India chase down the target with nine wickets and 61 balls to spare. India won the three-match series 2-1.
This was only Yashasvi’s fourth ODI, having debuted against England earlier this year. He had managed scores of 18 and 22 in his first two outings of the series against South Africa.
