“I was really excited to meet you. I don't know why I'm nervous,” Jaiswal confessed before presenting Ravi with a special keepsake. “I think I have a gift for you – my bat. I would like you to keep it as my memory.”
A beaming Ravi, overwhelmed, replied, “Thanks so much! I can't wait to have your bat because you're a brilliant cricketer… I think you're the future of Indian cricket.”
Their chat continued with Ravi impressing Jaiswal with his knowledge of the sport, including insights about Indian spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar. “You have so much information! You're really into cricket,” Jaiswal remarked.

It was also a dream come true for young Ravi, who had previously stated that Jaiswal was his favourite cricketer and meeting the Rajasthan Royals ace one day featured high on his bucket list.
While the emotional meeting was a highlight off the field, Jaiswal also made headlines with the bat at Edgbaston.
Earlier in the Test match, Jaiswal became the joint-fastest Indian to reach 2000 runs in the format during the second innings. The 23-year-old opener reached the milestone in just his 21st Test match and 40th innings.
He scored a mature 87 in the first innings to help India post a daunting 587. Jaiswal added 28 in the second innings to etch his name into the history books. The southpaw had also scored a century in the first innings of the first Test at Leeds.
