After successfully winning the two-match Test series against the West Indies, a dominant Team India marched on to seal the ODI series as well. Led by Hardik Pandya, the Indian team put up a strong performance in the third ODI on Tuesday, completing a 2-1 series win at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad.

Batting first, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill gave India a fiery start with their 143-run opening partnership inside the first 20 overs. Then came a rampaging Sanju Samson who took the attack to the bowlers from the first ball. His 69-run stand with Gill saw him navigate the middle overs to perfection. Sanju also brought up his own half-century in the process, before he was dismissed on 51 (41 balls, 2 fours, 4 sixes). By the time Sanju departed, India were already nearing the 250-run mark. Captain Pandya scored an unbeaten 70, along with Surya Kumar Yadav who chipped in with his 30-ball 35 to take India to a total of 351.

In response, West Indies were no match for India, losing both their openers within the opening 3 overs of the chase. Bowlers Mukesh Kumar and Shardul Thakur joined forces to unleash a pace attack on the Windies batters, picking up 7 wickets between them. The hosts were bundled out for just 151 in the 36th over, conceding a 200-run defeat to India.
