English superstars Jofra Archer, Sam Curran, West Indian power-hitter Shimron Hetmyer and South African pacer Kwena Maphaka, all part of the Rajasthan Royals’ squad, will be in action at the T20 World Cup 2026 starting Saturday.
The 10th edition of the T20 World Cup features 20 teams and will be played across India and Sri Lanka. Live streaming and telecast will be available in India.
Two-time winners and defending champions India are clubbed in Group A alongside, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Namibia and the USA. They will open their campaign against the USA at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on February 7.

England and West Indies, both two-time T20 World Cup winners, headline Group C alongside Scotland, Nepal and Italy. England and the West Indies will go head-to-head on February 11 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
England all-rounder Sam Curran heads into the World Cup in superb form after a standout three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, where he struck a career-best 58 off 48 balls in the final game and claimed a hat-trick in the opener. Curran was Player of the Tournament at the T20 World Cup 2022.
Jofra Archer, England’s hero in their 2019 ODI World Cup triumph, will lead the team’s pace attack.
Shimron Hetmyer, named in the West Indies’ 15-member squad, is set for his third T20 World Cup appearance after featuring in 2021 and 2024.
The 29-year-old, a proven finisher for the Royals in the IPL, underlined his form ahead of the tournament with a scintillating 75 off 42 balls against South Africa in Centurion last month.

Kwena Maphaka, 19, arrives after a breakthrough domestic season in South Africa in which he was named T20 Challenge Player of the Season and finished as joint-highest wicket-taker.
The T20 World Cup 2026 begins with a round-robin group stage, where each team faces every other side in its group once.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 8, which will split the qualifiers into two groups of four.
The top two from each Super 8 group will advance to the semi-finals. The group stage runs from February 7 to 20, followed by the Super 8 from February 21 to March 1. The semi-finals are on March 4 and 5, with the final on March 8.
