Having managed the injury over the past two years, Riyan, 24, shared an update on social media and reiterated his determination to return stronger.
"The past two years have tested me in ways I never expected. There were good days, frustrating days, and days when simply getting through a game was a challenge. But I wouldn't have wanted it any other way,” Riyan explained in his post.
"Now comes a different challenge - recovery, rehab and patience. I'll be back doing what I love soon. See you on the other side."

Parag was appointed as the full-time Rajasthan Royals captain ahead of IPL 2026 after becoming the team’s youngest skipper when he led RR as stand-in skipper in the 2025 season.
A key member of the Royals setup since making his IPL debut in 2019, Parag helped guide the team to the playoffs in IPL 2026 and continued to showcase his ability with the bat.
His standout innings of the season came against Delhi Capitals in Jaipur, where he struck a brilliant 90 off just 50 balls, an innings that featured eight fours and five sixes.
Across the IPL 2026 season, Parag scored 309 runs from 14 matches at a strike rate of 157.65. In 98 IPL appearances for the Royals, he has amassed 1875 runs at a strike rate of 144.23, including nine half-centuries.
Riyan was also named the vice-captain of the India A cricket team for the ongoing tri-series in Sri Lanka but pulled out due to a troubled hamstring injury.
