Rajasthan Royals duoDhruv Jurel andYashasvi Jaiswal will take centrestage when the India cricket team faces New Zealand in a three-match NZ A vs IND A 2026 unofficial Test series, scheduled to start on Saturday.
The New Zealand A vs India A 2026 multi-day matches will be available to watch on live streaming and telecast. The matches will be played across Lincoln and Christchurch.
Dhruv Jurel, who was the Royals’ second-highest run scorer during IPL 2026, has been named captain of the India A side.
The wicketkeeper-batsman was last in action during India’s Test series against Sri Lanka, where he scored his maiden Test century outside India and also made a fifty.
Before that, Jurel captained India A to a 1-0 win over Sri Lanka A in a two-match unofficial Test series, finishing as his team’s standout with a century and a half-century in the three innings he batted.
In first-class cricket, the 25-year-old Jurel has made 2711 runs in 38 matches at an average of 56.47, scoring seven hundreds and 16 fifties, with a highest score of 249.
Jaiswal, too, last featured in the Sri Lanka Test series. In first-class cricket, the left-handed opener has amassed 4968 runs in 54 matches at an average of 53.41, including 17 centuries and 18 fifties, with a highest score of 265.
The 24-year-old recently featured for Mumbai in their Ranji Trophy 2026-27 opener against Chandigarh.
The A-team assignment runs alongside the senior India side’s tour of New Zealand, which features a five-match T20I series, five ODIs and two Tests.
Jurel and Jaiswal, along with Rajasthan Royals teammate Ravindra Jadeja, are also part of India’s Test squad for the New Zealand tour.
