Rajasthan Royals trio Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja have been selected in the Indian cricket team for the upcoming two-match 2026 Test series vs New Zealand.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the squad for the NZ vs IND 2026 Test series on Friday, with Shubman Gill set to lead the side and KL Rahul his deputy.

The first Test begins in Wellington on November 19, before the second gets underway in Christchurch on November 27.

The Test series rounds off a full India tour of New Zealand, which opens with a five-match T20I series and is followed by five ODIs. Royals’ Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is part of the T20 squad.

Jaiswal has been one of India’s most prolific batters in the longest format in recent years, having amassed 2612 runs in 31 Tests at an average of 47.49. He boasts seven centuries and 13 fifties and a highest score of an unbeaten 214.

Jurel comes in having scored his maiden Test century outside India during the recent series against Sri Lanka. The wicketkeeper-batter has made 651 runs in 12 Tests at an average of 40.68, striking two hundreds and two fifties, with a top score of 125.

Both Jurel and Jaiswal are also part of the India A squad, which will play three unofficial four-day matches against New Zealand A from October 24 to November 10. Jurel has been named captain of the side.

Ravindra Jadeja, who recently scored a century for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy 2026-27, will join the tour for the concluding red-ball engagements.

With 4160 runs and 356 wickets in 91 matches, Jadeja is one of the world’s most accomplished all-rounders in Test cricket.
