Leg-break bowler Ravi Bishnoi was the Royals’ first purchase at ₹7.20 crore during the auction after the inaugural IPL champions outbid Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Ravi Bishnoi has represented India in 42 games since his international debut in 2022, with his career-best figures of 4/13 coming against Zimbabwe in 2024.

In 2023, Bishnoi became the No. 1 T20I bowler in the world. Ravi Bishnoi’s IPL record also stands out, with 72 wickets from 77 matches at an average of 31.06 and an economy rate of 8.21.

The Royals’ second most expensive purchase at the auction was New Zealand pacer Adam Milne, who signed up for ₹2.40 crore and filled up the only remaining overseas slot that the Royals had heading into the auction.

Milne has taken 65 wickets in 56 T20I matches for New Zealand and also has seven wickets from 10 IPL games.

Kuldeep Sen, who was picked for his base price of ₹75 lakh, returns to the Royals squad after a season away. The 29-year-old fast bowler was a part of the Rajasthan Royals team that finished runners-up in IPL 2022. He has taken 14 wickets in 12 IPL games.

The Royals further bolstered their bowling arsenal by securing the services of Sushant Mishra, Yash Raj Punja, Brijesh Sharma and Vignesh Puthur during the auction.

They acquired the services of Sushant Mishra for ₹90 lakh after outbidding Kolkata Knight Riders and bought Yash Raj Punja, Vignesh Puthur and Brijesh Sharma for their base price of ₹30 lakh.

The Royals also added batter Aman Rao Perala to their squad for his base price of ₹30 lakh.

Meanwhile, 24-year-old wicket-keeper Ravi Singh, who was bought for ₹95 lakh after fending off bids from Royal Challengers Bengaluru, was the third most expensive buy by RR at the auction.
