The 34-year-old pacer became the first bowler from New Zealand to take a wicket on the first ball of an innings in a World Cup match. Boult dismissed Bangladeshi opener Litton Das, who incidentally celebrates his birthday on this day. As the match progressed, the New Zealander also became the third-fastest bowler to pick up 200 ODI wickets, in terms of matches (107).
