Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was at his brilliant best yet again as he produced another quickfire fifty to help guide DY Patil Blue into the semi-final of the DY Patil T20 Cup 2026 in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday.

The teenage prodigy top-scored for his team with a 19-ball 58 to help DY Patil Blue beat Income Tax by four wickets.

Chasing 212 to win, Vaibhav, batting at a strike rate of 305.26, struck four fours and six sixes to help set a solid foundation for his team’s win with an over to spare.

After bringing up his fifty off 16 balls, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who represents Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, smashed another maximum in the next over before he was caught.

However, his brisk knock at the top of the innings helped set his team up for the win and a spot in the DY Patil T20 Cup 2026 semi-final.

This was Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s second fifty in the DY Patil T20 Cup. The teenage sensation also smashed a stunning 63 off just 19 balls to lead his team to a win against the Indian Navy earlier in the tournament.

The DY Patil T20 Cup is a corporate tournament held annually in Navi Mumbai, featuring top domestic players, emerging talents and occasional international stars.

Played at the DY Patil Stadium complex, it serves as a key platform for young cricketers to showcase their skills alongside established professionals.
