Rajasthan Royals duoDhruv Jurel andYashasvi Jaiswal have been selected in the 15-member India A squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the squad on Tuesday.
India A are set to play three multi-day matches against New Zealand A, with Jurel named captain.
Lincoln will host the opening multi-day match from October 24 to 27, before the action shifts to Christchurch for the second from October 31 to November 3. Lincoln then stages the final match from November 7 to 10.
The A-team assignment runs alongside the senior India side's tour of New Zealand, which features a five-match T20I series, five ODIs and two Tests.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been named in the T20I squad for India while another Royal, Adam Milne, will line-up opposite him, having earned a call up for the Black Caps after recovering from an injury.
Jurel, who was the Royals’ second-highest run scorer during IPL 2026, was last seen in action during India's Test series against Sri Lanka, where he scored his maiden Test century outside India. He also scored a fifty during the series.
Before that, he led India A to a 1-0 win over Sri Lanka A in a two-match unofficial Test series and was the standout player for his team, scoring a century and a half-ton in the three innings he batted in.
In first-class cricket, the wicketkeeper-batter has made 2711 runs in 38 matches at an average of 56.47, striking seven hundreds and 16 fifties, with a best of 249.
Jaiswal, too, last featured in the Sri Lanka Test series. In first-class cricket, the left-handed opener has amassed 4968 runs in 53 matches at an average of 54.00, including 17 centuries and 18 fifties, with a highest score of 265.
The 24-year-old was also recently named in Mumbai’s squad for their Ranji Trophy 2026-27 opener against Chandigarh later this month.
