Manoj Badale is also the co-founder and managing partner of Blenheim Chalcot, an early stage investment group that actively manages a portfolio of fast growth ventures. Typically, these businesses are innovative leaders, creating a position based on a market or regulatory discontinuity in technology, financial services or media. Manoj was formerly a partner at Monitor Company, where he spent significant time in the UK, Europe and India. Manoj now divides his time between India and UK, where most of the group's businesses are located. Manoj is a graduate of the University of Cambridge. He was born in India and later on moved to UK.
Ranjit is the Founder and Chairman of Globally Managed Services (GMS), a modest Operational Consulting Incubator which was founded in 2002.He brings over 35 years of varied experience in managing and leading companies in a wide range of industries, including Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Telecommunications, Tourism, Technology, Environment, Ecology, Outsourcing and Healthcare.
He is the Chief Architect of the thought process at GMS of developing the theme of NaturenomicsTMand has co-founded several initiatives under this theme - Balipara Tract & Frontier Foundation ( BTFF - promoting agriculture and bio-diversity based community initiatives), GMS Morarka Organic Development Initiative (GMODI - promotes organic cultivation among farmers with market linkages), AgriQuest (hub-and-spoke community farming and aggregation with forward market access), FarmQuest (large agricultural land banks for organized cultivation), NatureFirst (focused on restoring the balance between nature through land,energy,waste, water, air and carbon) and River Journeys and Bungalows of India (nature based tourism business).
Ranjit has set up other entrepreneurial ventures such as Agilisys [a leading technology solutions provider, formerly Netdecisions], Advent Healthcare (a facilitator in the healthcare industry in India), Med-Ind Healthcare (integrated managed healthcare services provider) and Green Ecological Managed Services (GEMS & NatureFirst)-(A fully integrated, first of its kind environmental services organization) which was acquired by TCS and where he continues as Advisor to the Environmental Services Unit. In addition, Ranjit was an Advisor to the Board and management of groups like Max Healthcare (one of India's largest private healthcare services providers), Anand Group (one of India's largest automobile components groups), and Airtel (India's largest mobile telecom service providers) in the North East. In addition to various initiatives, GMS is currently engaged with various Tata Groupcompanies. Heis in the process of incubating three independent verticals - Water, Legal Corporate Services, Jungle and Forest Management. In order to encourage team work and sportsmanship, he took on Chairmanship of Jaipur IPL Team 'Rajasthan Royals', the inaugural champions of the Indian Premier League!!
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Ranjit was CEO of Hutchison Max-Touch Telecom (Vodafone) in India, Chairman of Marconi in the Indian Sub-continent, and held senior positions in Sales and Marketing at ITC, one of India's leading Fast Moving Consumer Goods companies. Ranjit has extensive hands-on experience in diverse geographic markets like India, South East Asia, Japan, Russia, Middle East, UK, Europe and USA.
In 2001, Ranjit stepped into public service when Assam Government appointed him as Advisor for strategy, action planning, project formulation, investment initiation and image building exercise for the state of Assam, he continues to perform the role after being reappointed in 2011. In addition to this, he is supporting Mr. S. Ramadorai, Advisor to the Office of Prime Minister of India on National Skill Development.
Ranjit strongly believes in'Social Entrepreneurship towards Betterment of Human Health and Education'and is consistently driving these initiatives and projects.Ranjit has initiated growth projects for public interest, social development, and innovation in social business, environmental conservation and market consolidation. He is hoping that his emphasis on promoting environmental preservation coupled with his openness to transfer his knowledge and innovative ideas will help this sector on a long term basis.
Key Social Entrepreneurship action has been implemented through following initiatives:-
- 'Operation Smile' in India, a voluntary organization doing path breaking work to correct cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities in children around the world.
- Ongoing focus on Balipara Foundation, working towards Ecological Neutrality and he has launched a series of four volumes of NaturenomicsT compilations defining the interdependence between ecology and economics.
- In 2012 founded APPL Foundation which focuses in the fields of Education, Healthcare & Employment.
- Trustee, Tata Eastern Medical Trust, striving towards Cancer Cure.
Ranjit is a graduate in Economics from Guwahati University, Assam and was born in August 1954.
Raghu Iyer is a Media and Entertainment professional with work experience of over 20 years in various companies in India and abroad. He has been with the Rajasthan Royals since inception in 2007 and has played a major role in building the Royals brand. His previous assignments have been with multinationals such as Discovery Channel, Sony Entertainment, Reuters and Hutchison Max Telecom. He is an ardent sportsman himself and believes in keeping fit by playing a lot of squash, badminton and cricket. Raghu is an Economics ( Hons ) graduate from SRCC, Delhi and also possesses a Masters in Management Studies ( Marketing ) from NMIMS, Mumbai.
