All-rounder Dasun Shanaka was picked in the 16-member Sri Lankan cricket team for the upcoming three-match T20I series against the West Indies, starting from June 12.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) announced the squad on Tuesday, with all three matches of the series set to be played at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica.
The opening T20I will be held on June 12, followed by the second and third games on June 14 and 15, respectively.
This will be Sri Lanka’s first T20I bilateral assignment after their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup campaign.

Dasun Shanaka, who represents Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, continues to be a vital presence in Sri Lanka’s white-ball setup owing to his experience and all-round abilities in the shortest format.
Ever since making his T20I debut in 2015, Shanaka has established himself as one of Sri Lanka’s most dependable middle-order batters and a handy seam-bowling option.
The 34-year-old hard-hitting all-rounder has played 131 T20Is for Sri Lanka - more than any other player from his country in the format. He has scored 1912 T20I runs while also contributing 46 wickets with the ball.
Shanaka has also enjoyed success as Sri Lanka’s captain in the format, guiding the team to memorable series victories, including the Asia Cup title in 2022.
Dasun Shanaka has been an important part of the Royals setup in IPL 2026 since joining the squad as an injury replacement for Sam Curran.
He has played five matches this season and played a vital knock of 29 under pressure against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede last Sunday in a must-win fixture. It helped RR win the match and seal a spot in the IPL 2026 playoffs.
The T20I series against West Indies will be preceded by a three-match ODI series in Kingston and followed by a two-match Test series at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound.
