Spin duo Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana will reunite as the Sri Lanka cricket team host Bangladesh in a three-match ODI series, starting July 2.
The SL vs BAN 2025 ODI series will be available to watch on live streaming and telecast in India. All Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh ODI matches are scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM IST.
The Sri Lankan cricket team’s first two ODIs against Bangladesh will be played at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo on July 2 and 5. The final ODI will take place on July 8 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
Charith Asalanka has been named captain of the 16-member Sri Lanka cricket squad. The white ball series follows the two-match Test series between the teams, which the hosts won 1-0.

Both Hasaranga and Theekshana were part of the Rajasthan Royals squad in IPL 2025 and emerged as the joint-highest wicket takers for the team with 11 wickets each. Jofra Archer also took the same number of wickets for RR.
Theekshana, Sri Lanka’s ace off-spinner, has featured in 52 ODIs and claimed 76 wickets at an average of 25.52 with an economy of under five, making him one of the most efficient bowlers in the format currently.
Hasaranga, meanwhile, comes into the series on the back of a sensational 2024 season.
The all-rounder bagged 26 wickets in ODIs last year – the most by any bowler in the format – and also won three major honours at the Sri Lanka Cricket Awards 2024: Best ODI Bowler, Best T20I Bowler and Best T20I All-Rounder.
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have faced each other in 57 ODIs prior to this, with the Lankans dominating the head-to-head record with 42 wins compared to 13 by the Bangla Tigers. Two games yielded no results.
