Sanju Samson smashed a blistering 42-ball century that powered Kochi to a thrilling four-wicket win over Kollam in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. The match was part of a domestic T20 League in Kerala.
Chasing a daunting 237 in the match, Sanju Samson opened the innings for his team and tore into the opposition attack from the outset. He brought up his half-century in just 16 deliveries and reached his century in just 42 deliveries with brother and team captain Saly Samson at the non-striker’s end.

This was Samson’s second-fastest century in T20 cricket. He had slammed a 40-ball 100 against Bangladesh in Hyderabad last year. He scored a total of three T20I centuries in 2024 - more than any Indian batter in a single calendar year.
The 30-year-old eventually fell for 121 off 51 balls, but by then had all but sealed the contest for his side. His knock featured 14 boundaries and seven maximums, scored at an astonishing strike rate of 237.25.
The innings comes just weeks after Samson was named in India’s squad for the Asia Cup 2025 in the UAE.
