Guwahati, 05 May 2024: With the Rajasthan Royals set to arrive in their home of Guwahati on 13th May 2024, the franchise organised a day out for the students and their families to come and participate in a host of activities including playing a cricket tournament. The Rajasthan Royals Family Day Cricket was organised at the Royal Global School in Guwahati on Saturday, with more than 200 participants including students of the school turning up to the activation which included both cricket and trivia around the Royals.
Given the much anticipated return of the Royals to the NorthEast when they play two matches on 15th May against Punjab Kings, and on 19th May against Kolkata Knight Riders at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati, the Royals are organising a host of on-ground activities in the region to provide a real opportunity to the fans to experience feeling closer to their favourite players and also promote a sporting and active culture.
The cricket tournament saw 10 teams made up of children and their parents deliver some exciting and close encounters, much to the delight of the people present at the occasion. Royals Knights ended up becoming the champions on the day, winning the final match.
The children and their families were also able to secure their tickets to the exciting two matches that the Royals will play against Punjab and Kolkata, and get access to their favourite Royals merch by taking part in a trivia competition.
Jake Lush McCrum, Chief Executive Officer, Rajasthan Royals, commented on the occasion, "As our Royals get closer to returning home to Guwahati, we have a number of activities planned to engage our fans, and create a real buzz. We are extremely happy to have received such a positive response from the children and their families who came out to enjoy a day filled with quality cricket and lots of entertainment. In the next few days, we will continue to engage the fans and provide them with an opportunity to feel even closer to their favourite players and also own an active lifestyle."
Rajasthan Royals squad is set to arrive in Guwahati on 13th May 2024 for their two home matches at the ACA Stadium against Punjab Kings (15th May) and Kolkata Knight Riders (19th May).
Tickets for both the matches are available for purchase online for the fans on BookMyShow, along with offline Box Office at the City Centre Mall which is operational from 2-10pm, and also at the Box Office situated at Nehru Stadium.
