Nitish Rana produced a batting masterclass, smashing 134 off just 55 balls to fire West Delhi to a seven-wicket win over South Delhi in the Eliminator of Delhi’s T20 league on Friday.
Chasing 202, West Delhi wobbled early with two wickets down inside the powerplay.
But skipper Rana, who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, took charge. Teaming up with Krish Yadav for a 97-run stand, he steadied the chase before exploding in trademark fashion.
Rana raced to his fifty in just 20 balls - getting to the milestone with a sequence of 4, 6, 6, 6. He also completed his century in 42 deliveries.

His innings, peppered with eight fours and 15 sixes at a strike rate of 243.64, became the backbone of the pursuit. Even after losing Yadav, Rana stayed ruthless, ensuring West Delhi crossed the line with 17 balls to spare at 202/3.
Nitish Rana was one of the Royals’ standout batters in IPL 2025, having contributed with 217 runs in 11 matches.
The tally for the season included two half-centuries - a match-winning 81 off 36 balls against Chennai Super Kings in Guwahati and a 51 off 28 against Delhi Capitals in Delhi.
