Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel have been named in the India squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies, starting from October 2.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 15-member squad on Thursday.
The first India vs West Indies 2025 Test series cricket match will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, starting from October 2.
The second Test begins on October 10 at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. Both matches start at 9:30 AM IST.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was the top scorer for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 with 559 runs from 14 matches, and has also impressed in domestic and international red-ball cricket this season.
The 23-year-old opener played a vital part in helping India hold England to a stalemate during the five-match Test series earlier this year. He scored two centuries in the series, including a match-winning knock in the final Test at The Oval.
Yashasvi has been a mainstay in the Indian Test setup since breaking into the format two years back. Interestingly, the classy southpaw opened his Test career with a century against the Windies on his debut at Windsor Park.
He already has 2209 Test runs to his name in just 24 matches, scored at an average of over 50. Yashasvi also has six international centuries and 12 fifties in Tests.
Dhruv Jurel, 24, continues to make his mark as a wicket-keeper batter. He has featured in five Test matches so far. He has also showcased great form in first class cricket this year.
During the India A team’s tour of England earlier in the summer, he piled up 227 runs at an average of 75.66, hitting three half-centuries in four innings.
He also scored a century against Australia A in a multi-day match at home recently and is captaining the team in the second match currently underway in Lucknow.
Earlier, he also shone in the IPL, where he finished as the Rajasthan Royals’ third-highest scorer with 333 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 156.33.
