21-year-old Royals batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has been included in India's Test squad, alongside Royals teammate Navdeep Saini as the BCCI announced the Team India squads for their upcoming tour of the West Indies.

Ahead of the 2023 World Test Championship final between India and Australia, Yashasvi was part of the reserve players' list as a replacement for Ruturaj Gaikwad. The Royals batter's exemplary form during IPL 2023 and his purple ahead in domestic cricket leading up to the season meant that an India call-up was always around the corner. A few days ago, Jaiswal was also named in the West Zone squad for the Duleep Trophy, where his team is set to play the semi-final starting on July 5. However, the youngster's inclusion in the national side means that he will end up missing the tournament. Meanwhile, express pacer Navdeep Saini has also marked his return to the Test squad that also features veteran spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin.

Sanju back in ODIs

The squad announcements brought another piece of good news in the Royals camp. Captain Sanju Samson, who last wore the India blues in November 2022, has been called up for the three-match ODI series against the Windies.

Accompanying Sanju in the ODI setup will be ace leg-spinner and his Royals teammate Yuzvendra Chahal.
