As the dust settles on an exhilarating IPL season, the action moves to India’s domestic circuit for a new season, opening with the Duleep Trophy on June 28. The BCCI recently announced the squads for the senior men’s domestic competition that will be played in Bengaluru. The final will be held on July 12 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

A total of six zonal teams, namely North, North East, West, South, East and Central will participate in this tournament. Last year’s finalists, West Zone and South Zone advance directly to the semi-final stage, where they will face the winners of Central Zone vs East Zone and North-East Zone vs North Zone.

Yashasvi Jaiswal named in West Zone

Among the Royals, Yashasvi Jaiswal will hope to continue his blazing form when he features for the West Zone led by Gujarat’s Priyank Panchal. The 21-year-old, who had finished as the tournament’s leading run-getter last season, continued his purple patch on the domestic front, and in the IPL for Rajasthan Royals.
