The 25-year-old wicket-batter has now scored four fifties for RR this season - the most by any Royals player in IPL 2026. Jurel, who made his IPL debut with the Royals in 2023, has eight fifties in the league.
Jurel walked in during the second over and anchored the innings, forging two crucial partnerships to lay a strong platform for Rajasthan Royals.
He first added 70 runs with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi before the teenager fell in the eighth over and then combined with RR captain Riyan Parag for a 72-run stand that propelled the Royals to a commanding 161/2 before the skipper’s dismissal.
Earlier this season, Jurel smashed 75 off 42 balls against Gujarat Titans to register his then-highest IPL score before eclipsing it with an unbeaten 81 off 43 deliveries against Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He also scored 51 off 35 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
