Ever since his IPL debut in 2020, young Yashasvi Jaiswal has got cricket fans and experts to take notice of his remarkable talent, consistent hard work and his inspirational cricketing journey. From his first-ever IPL century to representing India at the Asian Games, to shining in his international debut for India, the 22-year-old continues to grow leaps and bounds.

On his birthday, here's a look at the top 5 innings that showcased Yashasvi's batting prowess and the hunger to excel irrespective of the format he plays:

100 vs Nepal (Asian Games 2023)

India's historic first participation in the 19th Asian Games 2023 in Guangzhou, China, went down as a memorable one in the record books as the Men in Blue won their maiden gold medal. Yashasvi, who was part of the side, struck a swashbuckling 49-ball 100 in the quarter-final against Nepal, powering India to the semi-final. In the process, he became the youngest Indian to score a century in the T20I format.

171 vs West Indies (Test debut, 2023)

A record century in your first-ever international appearance for the country, that too in overseas conditions? Yashasvi Jaiswal surely knew how to make an entrance. Earlier this year, the Royals opener was handed his Test cap on the tour of the West Indies, where he made his international debut for India. Firsts are always special, but Yashasvi's hundred was even more significant as it broke multiple records on the way. Not only did he become the 17th Indian batter to score a century on Test debut, but he also notched up the third-highest score by an Indian on the occasion. Jaiswal was also only the third Indian to have scored a Test hundred on debut as an opening batter. The icing on the cake was he also won the Player of the Match award, becoming only the 8th Indian to have bagged it on debut.

124 vs Mumbai Indians (IPL 2023)

The IPL 2023 season turned out to be Yashasvi's personal best, as he accumulated the most runs (625) in a single IPL season. But the peak of his explosive batting came in the match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, a place he calls home when he plays for Mumbai in domestic cricket. On familiar territory in IPL's 1000th scheduled match, Jaiswal went berserk from the get-go, striking his maiden IPL century along the way. His explosive knock was laced with 16 fours and 8 sixes, and it came off just 62 balls. Yashasvi's 124 became the joint-highest score by a Rajasthan Royals player in IPL history, equalling his opening partner's 124 that came in IPL 2021.

98* vs Kolkata Knight Riders (IPL 2023)

Just a few days after he took Wankhede by storm with his maiden hundred, Yashasvi once again set a remarkable record, this time by hitting the fastest fifty in the history of the IPL. Jaiswal achieved this feat in just 13 balls against KKR at Eden Gardens. His innings was instrumental in Rajasthan Royals chasing a target of 150 runs, as he went on to score an unbeaten 98 off 47 balls, leading his team to a dominating 9-wicket victory.

265 vs South Zone (Duleep Trophy 2022)

2022 was also a special year for Yashasvi, who made his debut in the prestigious Duleep Trophy for West Zone. A thunderous first double-hundred on debut was followed up by another one in the final, a match-winning 265 - his highest score in first-class cricket so far. Courtesy of his double ton, West Zone registered a massive win against South Zone and were crowned champions. Yashasvi's knock entered the history books with multiple records - he became the joint-fastest Indian to 1000 first-class runs, sharing the record with Amol Mazumdar and Rusi Modi (13 innings each), he also became the youngest player to score a double hundred in the final of a first-class tournament, at 20 years, 269 days.
