At its core, RRF embraces the ethos that women are inherently empowered and with the right opportunities, can overcome barriers to drive transformative societal impact.
#PinkPromise is a joint initiative by RR and RRF to leverage cricket for women-led transformation in rural Rajasthan. The #PinkPromise match against Mumbai Indians on 1st May aims to amplify RR's efforts beyond the boundary to the inspirational and empowered women from rural India. The Rajasthan Royals team will wear all-pink kits featuring the names of female grassroots leaders with whom RRF works.
For this match, we committed to lighting up 6 homes in the Sambhar region for every 6 hit in the match.
Our efforts were complemented by our Principal Sponsor Luminous, who matched our commitment.
This resulted in the solar electrification of 260 homes which were previously in the dark.
Since then, we were delighted to see the Pink Promise match get a mention from Amitabh Bachchan on India's prime time game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Thavri Devi, the toss representative, received an award from the President of India.
For solar electrification of homes continues this year as well, where we are committed to illuminating 500 plus homes.
