- I. THE ROYALS COINS
- The Royals Coins Programme is a loyalty rewards programme launched by Royal Multisport Private Limited (“RMPL”) exclusively on its web based application termed as The RR App(“Royals Coins Programme”/”Programme”), which may be downloaded on any Apple iOS, Android or Microsoft Windows powered mobile devices.
- RMPL owns and operates the Rajasthan Royals(“RR”) team (“Team”) and facilitates their management and administration towards their participation in the Indian Premier League (“IPL”).
- The Royals Coins Programme has been introduced by RMPL solely as a fan engagement initiative intended to encourage interaction with the RR App.
- Participation in the Programme shall be voluntary and shall be subject to compliance with these terms, the RR App terms of use, the privacy policy of RMPL, and any other policies, rules, regulations or guidelines prescribed by RMPL from time to time.
- The Programme is intended solely as a loyalty and fan engagement mechanism and does not constitute a commercial transaction, payment system or financial service.
- II. PARTICIPANTS
- Any person, who has created or hereinafter creates a valid user profile on the RR App
(“Participant”) would be permitted to participate in the Royals
Coins Programme subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:
- The Participant is a citizen of India and is currently residing within the territory of India; and
- The Participant is 18 (eighteen) years of age and is of sound mind.
- Any person, who has created or hereinafter creates a valid user profile on the RR App
(“Participant”) would be permitted to participate in the Royals
Coins Programme subject to the fulfilment of the following conditions:
- RMPL reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any Participant at any point of time and may disqualify any Participant who provides false, misleading, or incomplete information.
- Participation in the Programme shall be limited to one user account per individual unless otherwise expressly permitted by RMPL.
- III. ACCEPTANCE TO THE TERMS
- As a Participant, by accessing the Royals Coins Programme, you shall be bound by these terms and conditions (“Terms”), the terms and conditions and the privacy policy of the RR App, and such all other policies, rules, regulations and terms of use referred to herein or provided on the RR App or may be prescribed by RMPL.
- Accordingly, by participating in the Royals Coins Programme on the RR App and clicking “Accept”, you have agreed to participate in the Royals Coins Programme at your own risk and agree that you have carefully read and accepted these Terms and the terms and conditions set out on the RR App.
- RMPL reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms at any time and such modifications shall become effective immediately upon publication on the RR App. Continued participation in the Programme shall constitute acceptance of such revised Terms.
- By agreeing to participate in the Royals Coins Programme and accepting these Terms, you hereby
agree that you have explicitly provided your consent to RMPL, as may be required under the
relevant applicable laws:
- to collect, utilize, exploit, share and store such data and personal information relating to your user profile;
- to share such data and personal information with third parties for marketing and advertising purposes;
- to permit RMPL to communicate transactional and promotional updates relating to the Programme and the RR App through electronic means including notifications, e-mails, messages or other communications, subject to applicable law and the Participant’s preferences made available through the RR App;
- RMPL shall process personal data of Participants in compliance with applicable laws including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- RMPL shall act as the data fiduciary responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing Participant data;
- Participant data may be processed for administering the Programme, verifying activities, facilitating redemption of rewards and preventing misuse.
- RMPL, without any prior notice or intimation to the Participant, reserves the right to modify these Terms for the Royals Coins Programme in any manner and at any point in time, effective immediately on such revised terms being posted on the RR App. The Participant’s continue usage of the RR App will be deemed to be an acceptance of any such modification.
- IV. THE PROGRAMME
- Pursuant to their Participation in the Programme, the Participant shall, on the performance and completion of certain actions, activities, engagements or interactions undertaken on the RR App, as set out in Annexure A to these Terms, earn promotional loyalty reward points (“Royals Coins”) for completion of each such action/activity completed. The details of the actions/activities and the Royals Coins earned for each such action/activity have been set out in Annexure A to these Terms.
- Such actions include but are not limited to onboarding activities, engagement with digital content, participation in interactive features such as quizzes, polls or prediction games, participation in promotional campaigns, attendance at designated events or other activities introduced by RMPL from time to time as per RMPL’s sole discretion.
- Upon the completion of the specified actions/activities mentioned in Annexure A to these Terms, the Participant shall earn the pre-determined Royals Coins, as may be decided and displayed by RMPL. RMPL shall, at its sole discretion and without any notice or intimation to the Participant, be entitled to review, amend, modify, change, insert, add, discontinue or delete any of the Terms for completion of the actions/activities and the Royals Coins earned for such activity at its sole discretion.
- By way of illustration, a Participant who logs into the RR App for the first time and completes the onboarding process may earn the number of Royals Coins allocated for the activities titled “First Time Login” and “Complete Profile” in Annexure A.
- Similarly, a Participant who engages with content on the RR App, such as reacting to a news article or viewing a video or photo album available on the RR App, may earn the number of Royals Coins allocated for such engagement activities in Annexure A.
- Royals Coins shall be automatically recorded against the Participant’s user profile upon completion of the relevant activity within the RR App.
- The Royals Coins accumulated by a Participant shall be displayed on the Participant’s user profile within the RR App and shall be updated periodically based on the Participant’s activities.
- Participants shall not have the ability to manually add, claim or otherwise request the allocation of Royals Coins.
- Royals Coins issued under the Programme constitute promotional loyalty reward points intended solely to facilitate fan engagement and participation within the Programme.
- The maximum number of Royals Coins that may be earned by a Participant under the Programme during a calendar year shall be capped at fifty thousand (50,000) Royals Coins or such other limit as may be specified by RMPL from time to time.
- For the avoidance of doubt, Royals Coins shall not constitute money, electronic money, prepaid payment instruments, digital assets, stored value instruments or any other financial instrument under applicable law.
- Royals Coins shall have no monetary value and shall not be capable of being purchased, sold, transferred, assigned, traded or exchanged. The Royals Coins earned by the Participant shall be non-transferable and non-assignable to any person other than the Participant.
- Where any reward under the Programme involves the issuance of a promotional voucher, discount coupon or similar promotional instrument, the Participant acknowledges that such voucher or coupon is issued solely as a promotional benefit under the Programme and shall not constitute monetary credit, stored value, prepaid value or transferable value. Such voucher may only be utilised in accordance with the terms and conditions prescribed by the relevant third-party partner platform.
- The issuance or accumulation of Royals Coins shall not give rise to any property rights, deposit obligations or financial claims against RMPL.
- v. STREAK, BADGES AND OTHER LEVELS
- Based on the number of Royals Coins accumulated by a Participant, the Participant may be categorised within a particular tier or recognition level as specified in the Annexures.
- The Programme may include engagement recognition features such as streaks, badges or other recognition indicators designed to encourage regular interaction with the RR App.
- For example, a Participant who logs into the RR App for seven consecutive days may receive a badge titled “Rising Royal”, while a Participant who maintains a continuous login streak for thirty days may receive a badge titled “Mega Royal”.
- Similarly, a Participant who maintains a longer streak of engagement with the RR App over a period of one hundred days or more may receive higher recognition badges as described in Annexure C.
- RMPL may, at its sole discretion, apply multipliers to the Royals Coins otherwise allocated for certain activities, including streak-based multipliers or match-day multipliers, as set out in Annexure A. Where a multiplier is applicable, the Royals Coins recorded against the Participant’s user profile for the relevant activity shall be calculated by applying the applicable multiplier to the base Royals Coins allocated for such activity. The determination of applicability and computation of such multipliers shall be carried out automatically through the systems of the RR App.
- Eligibility to redeem certain rewards under the Programme may be subject to the Participant meeting additional criteria including the possession of specified tiers, badges or recognition levels as described in Annexure B and Annexure C. RMPL shall determine eligibility for redemption based on the Royals Coins accumulated by the Participant and the tier or badge status reflected in the Participant’s user profile on the RR App.
- VI. REDEMPTION AND BURN OF ROYALS COINS
- Participants may redeem Royals Coins for rewards or promotional benefits made available by RMPL under the Programme and described in Annexure B.
- Redemption of Royals Coins shall be carried out exclusively through the RR App in accordance with the instructions prescribed by RMPL.
- In order to redeem any reward under the Programme, the Participant shall select the relevant reward within the RR App and confirm the redemption request in accordance with the instructions indicated on the RR App.
- Each reward offered under the Programme shall require redemption of a specified number of Royals Coins as determined by RMPL and indicated in the Annexure B.
- The Participant acknowledges that rewards and entitlements under the Programme are subject to availability, eligibility criteria and such additional terms as may be specified on the RR App, and RMPL does not guarantee the availability of any reward at any particular time.
- By way of illustration, a Participant who has accumulated four thousand Royals Coins may be eligible to redeem those Royals Coins to unlock promotional access to early ticket booking where such reward is listed in Annexure B.
- Upon confirmation of a redemption request, the requisite number of Royals Coins shall be deducted from the Participant’s account.
- Royals Coins utilised for redemption shall be deemed to have been permanently extinguished and shall no longer remain available for use. This extinguishment of Royals Coins upon redemption is referred to in the Programme as the burn of Royals Coins.
- For example, where a reward requires redemption of twelve thousand Royals Coins, the Royals Coins reflected against the Participant’s user profile shall be reduced by twelve thousand Royals Coins upon redemption and such Royals Coins shall stand permanently extinguished.
- RMPL reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any Participant seeking to redeem Royals Coins and may refuse, cancel or reverse any redemption request where such redemption is found to have been made in violation of these Terms or due to technical error or system malfunction.
- Certain rewards may involve the issuance, through the RR App, of promotional vouchers or access entitlements which may thereafter be utilised on third-party platforms associated with RMPL, and in such circumstances the RR App may redirect the Participant to such third-party platform solely for the purpose of enabling utilisation of such voucher or entitlement, provided that RMPL does not itself sell, supply, distribute or deliver the underlying goods or services offered by such third-party platform and any purchase or transaction undertaken by the Participant on such platform shall be governed solely by the terms and conditions of the relevant third-party provider..
- The Participant acknowledges that any such promotional voucher or discount entitlement does not constitute monetary credit, stored value or transferable value and is redeemable only in accordance with the terms stipulated by the relevant third-party platform.
- Where any reward is described as being subject to an skill-based selection process, the Participant acknowledges that redemption of Royals Coins in respect of such reward shall only entitle the Participant to be considered eligible for such selection process, and RMPL shall have the sole discretion to determine, in accordance with the criteria specified on the RR App, the Participants (if any) who may be granted such reward, and the decision of RMPL in this regard shall be final and binding.
- For skill-based rewards, the requisite number of Royals Coins may be temporarily blocked or earmarked against the Participant’s user profile pending completion of the selection process. Royals Coins shall be permanently extinguished only if the Participant is selected and the selection-based reward is confirmed to be granted to such Participant. If the Participant is not selected, the blocked or earmarked Royals Coins shall be released back to the Participant’s account within a reasonable period as may be specified on the RR App.
- RMPL shall have the sole discretion to determine, in accordance with the criteria specified on the RR App, the Participants (if any) who may be granted such selection-based reward, and the decision of RMPL in this regard shall be final and binding.
- Where redemption of Royals Coins relates to rewards involving limited availability or experiential benefits, redemption of Royals Coins shall entitle the Participant only to be considered for such reward in accordance with the eligibility criteria specified in Annexure B and on the RR App. RMPL shall determine, at its sole discretion, the Participants who may receive such rewards from among eligible Participants and the decision of RMPL in this regard shall be final and binding.
- The earning, recording, redemption and extinguishment of Royals Coins shall take place exclusively within the RR App ecosystem and Royals Coins shall not be capable of being redeemed, exchanged or utilised on any platform other than through the redemption mechanisms made available within the RR App.
- VII. VALIDITY, EXPIRY AND REVERSAL OF ROYALS COINS
- Royals Coins issued under the Programme shall remain valid only for the period specified by RMPL. Royals Coins issued under the Programme shall remain valid only until 31 December 2026, following the conclusion of the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League, unless otherwise determined by RMPL. Unless otherwise specified, Royals Coins earned during a particular calendar year shall remain valid until 31 December of the year in which such Royals Coins are issued.
- Upon expiry of the validity period, any unused Royals Coins shall automatically lapse and shall be removed from the Participant’s user profile on the RR App without any liability on the part of RMPL.
- Expired Royals Coins shall not be reinstated or converted into any other benefit.
- The Participants may choose to avail and utilize the rewards and entitlements at any time during the validity of their Royal Coins
- These rewards and prizes receivable by a Participant shall not be exchangeable for any other goods, services or cash.
- RMPL reserves the right to reverse, cancel or adjust any Royals Coins recorded against a Participant’s user profile where such recording has occurred due to technical error, system malfunction, administrative error or violation of these Terms.
- Once the Participant chooses to avail the rewards and entitlements, the Participant shall be required to provide personal details and information including but not limited to name, e-mail address, contact number, the full address of the Participant and such other information as may be required by RMPL.
- RMPL shall, before granting the rewards to the Participants, have the right to verify the eligibility of the Participant, the actions and activities completed, and the Royals Coins earned by such Participant.
- The rewards and entitlements availed by the Participant shall be non-transferable, non-refundable and non-returnable.
- RMPL shall not be responsible for the quality, warranty, reliability or performance of the rewards and entitlements availed by the Participant.
- RMPL shall not be liable to any Participant in under any circumstances whatsoever, for any matter related to the Royals Coins Programme, including but not limited to the completion of activities, Royals Coins earned, the availing of rewards, etc.
- RMPL may, at its discretion, discontinue, suspend or modify the Programme. In the event of discontinuation of the Programme, RMPL may specify a reasonable period (where feasible) within which Participants may redeem available Royals Coins, subject to these Terms, availability of rewards and applicable laws. Any unredeemed Royals Coins may lapse upon expiry of such period or as otherwise specified on the RR App.
- Discontinuation of the Programme shall not affect any selection-based reward that has already been confirmed as granted to a selected Participant, subject to the Participant satisfying any verification requirements and the terms specified on the RR App.
- VIII. PROHIBITED CONDUCT
- Participants shall not create or operate multiple accounts for the purpose of accumulating additional Royals Coins.
- Participants shall not manipulate or artificially inflate the earning of Royals Coins through automated systems, bots, scripts or other unauthorised technological means.
- Participants shall not exploit system vulnerabilities or technical malfunctions in order to obtain an unfair advantage in the Programme.
- RMPL reserves the right to investigate suspected misuse of the Programme and may suspend or terminate the participation of any Participant found to have engaged in such conduct.
- IX. PROMOTIONAL NATURE OF THE PROGRAMME
- TheProgramme has been introduced solely as a promotional fan engagement initiative. Participation in the Programme does not require the payment of any entry fee or monetary consideration.
- For the avoidance of doubt, RMPL may, from time to time, offer bonus Royals Coins in connection with certain activities that may be linked to purchases, ticketing, attendance at events or third-party offerings, as more particularly described in Annexure A and/or on the RR App; however, the Programme remains a fan engagement initiative and not a commercial transaction, payment system or financial service.
- The Programme shall not constitute a lottery, gambling activity, betting activity or prize competition requiring monetary consideration under applicable laws of India.
- Any rewards or experiences offered under the Programme shall be provided solely as promotional benefits and shall not constitute winnings arising from any wagering activity or game of chance conducted for consideration.
- X. COMPLIANCE WITH RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE BCCI AND THE ICC
- The Participant acknowledges and understands that RMPL, will always be bound by and will be subject to the rules/regulations/ directives/ decisions of IPL/Board for Control of Cricket in India (“BCCI”)/ International Cricket Council (“ICC”) and/or any other concerned cricket governing body and/or any court/arbitrator/tribunal orders, rules/decisions/directives of government and quasi-governmental bodies.
- The performance of the obligations by the Participant under these Terms and the terms and conditions on the RR App will be in accordance with the terms dictated/ decided by IPL/BCCI and the ICC Rules and Regulations, applicable local and municipal laws, government directives, court orders and legal compliances from time to time, as applicable to RMPL. The Participant further acknowledges that the performance of the obligations under these Terms would be subject to the privacy policy provided by RMPL on the official webpage of RMPL, as amended and revised from time to time.
- XI. SUSPENSION OR TERMINATIONRMPL may, at its sole and exclusive discretion have the
right to suspend the Participant and restrict his participation in the Royals Coins Programme
if:
- the Participant is found to use multiple identities/user profiles to participate in the Royals Coins Programme;
- if the Participant provides unauthorized access any third person to participate in the Royals Coins Programme for and on behalf of the Participant;
- the Participant makes any false claim for eligibility to avail rewards and entitlements;
- the Participant, through his actions and conduct causes any loss, harm, damage or disrepute to the reputation and the brand name carried by RMPL and/or the RR Team;
- the Participant violates any of the terms and conditions laid down in these Terms and the terms and conditions on the RR App or any policies, rules, regulations, orders or codes of the BCCI ;
- if the Participants provides any information which is found to be false, inaccurate or misleading; and
- if the Participant is involved in any illegal or prohibited activity including without limitation any activity regarded as betting, gambling, wagering under applicable laws of India.
- XII. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT
- The Participant undertakes that the Participant shall not be permitted to assign or allocate the right to use and receive the benefits of the Royals Coins Programme to any third party or any other person.
- The Participant hereby undertakes that the Participant shall be the sole identified participant in the Royals Coins Programme through the user profile of such Participant.
- The Participant hereby undertakes that he/she shall ensure compliance with all applicable law(s) at all times and the Participant shall ensure that the actions undertaken by the Participant shall not be prejudicial to RMPL and shall not result in any disrepute to RMPL, the RR Team and their associates and affiliates.
- The Participant hereby undertakes to ensure compliance with the extant regulatory framework regulating anti-corruption, anti-money laundering activities, including the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.
- The Participant further undertakes and acknowledges that RMPL shall be the sole and exclusive owner of and shall retain all Intellectual Property Rights over the Royals Coins Programme, and any other content, information and documentation disclosed in connection with the Participant’s participation in the Royals Coins Programme. The Participant further agrees not to use, reproduce, or distribute any intellectual property of RMPL without obtaining prior written consent from RMPL.
- The Participant hereby agrees and acknowledges that the Participant shall at all times and under all circumstances refrain from the usage of any language, terms, graphical, audio-visual or other representations (including speeches, defamatory reviews and defamatory and offensive emails, messages and public statements) which would result in any loss, harm, damage or disrepute to the reputation and the brand name carried by RMPL (including its affiliates, associated entities, shareholders, directors, staff and employees). The Participant further agrees that in the event that the Participant undertakes the usage of any language or representations which result in loss or disrepute to the reputation of RMPL (including its affiliates, associated entities, shareholders, directors, staff and employees), RMPL would be entitled to take such actions as would be considered appropriate including a breach of the terms of these Terms.
- The Participant acknowledges that the Programme involves the provision of promotional benefits or entitlements and that such benefits or entitlements shall not be construed as a purchase of merchandise, tickets or any other goods or services from RMPL, and RMPL may enter into arrangements with third-party service providers for the purpose of enabling certain benefits or entitlements under the Programme, subject always to the terms of such third-party providers.
- XIII. DATA PROTECTION
- RMPL shall ensure that the collection, storage and processing of personal data of Participants is carried out in compliance with applicable laws including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
- RMPL shall act as the data fiduciary responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing Participant data.
- RMPL shall implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect Participant data from unauthorised access, disclosure or misuse.
- Participant data may be processed for: (a) creating and administering the Programme; (b) recording and verifying activities; (c) facilitating redemption and fulfilment of rewards; (d) communicating Programme-related updates; and (e) detecting, investigating and preventing fraud, misuse or technical errors.
- RMPL may send transactional communications relating to the Programme and the RR App through electronic means including notifications, e-mails, messages or other communications.
- In the event RMPL seeks to: (i) send promotional communications not strictly necessary for the administration of the Programme; and/or (ii) share personal data with third parties for their marketing or advertising purposes, such processing shall be carried out only where the Participant has provided consent through separate opt-in mechanisms made available on the RR App, and the Participant may withdraw such consent through the settings or mechanisms made available on the RR App, subject to applicable laws.
- XIV. FORCE MAJEURE
- It is hereby clarified that RMPL shall not be liable for any loss, damage or destruction suffered on account of any delay or disruption in the Royals Coins Programme and/or inability to avail the rewards by the Participant on account of occurrence of any Force Majeure Event.
- “Force Majeure Event” shall mean any event due to any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Party, including, without limitation, unavailability of any communication system, sabotage, fire, flood, explosion, accident, acts of God, civil commotion, pandemic (including but not limited to Covid-19), strikes or industrial action of any kind, riots, insurrection, war, pandemic, (and the use of any derelict weapons of war including bombs, torpedoes, bio-chemical war weapons, atomic weapons, weapons employing nuclear fission or radioactive materials), the use or operation, as a means for inflicting harm, of any computer, computer system, computer software, computer software programme, malicious code, computer virus or process or any other electronic system, terrorism, change in schedules, rules, regulations or guidelines of the IPL and/or BCCI, or the cancellation or rescheduling of any matches of the IPL.
- XV. ACTIONS IN THE EVENT OF BREACH BY THE PARTICIPANT OF THESE TERMS
In the event of a breach of the terms and conditions set out under these Terms by any such Participant, RMPL may take any such action, as deemed appropriate, including (without limitation to) taking all or any of the following actions:- Immediate, temporary or permanent suspension of the Participant’s access to the Royals Coins Programme;
- Filing of any suit, claim for damages or take any legal action available against the Participant for breach of the terms of these Terms; and
- To undertake any and all such actions and remedies as may be available to RMPL under applicable law including filing a suit for claim for damages resulting from any losses suffered from the actions of the Participant in derogation of the terms and conditions of these Terms.
- XVI. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
- The provisions of these Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable law(s). In the event any disputes arise between RMPL and the Participant in connection with these Terms, that cannot otherwise be amicably resolved between the parties, such dispute shall be submitted to the courts of Mumbai.
- RMPL hereby reserves the right to bring any action seeking injunctive relief or any other form of equitable relief available to RMPL under applicable law(s) of India before any courts of Mumbai and the courts of Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute raised by RMPL in connection with these Terms.
- XVII. ASSIGNMENT
- RMPL hereby reserves the right to assign, transfer or allocate the rights available to it under the provisions of these Terms to any entity as deemed appropriate by RMPL.
- The Participant hereby undertakes that he/she shall not assign, transfer or allocate any rights, duties, and obligations available to him/her under the provisions of these Terms.
- XVIII. SEVERABILITY
- In the event any provisions of these Terms are deemed as illegal or unenforceable under the provisions of any applicable law in force in India, the remaining clauses under these Terms (and any terms and conditions contained hereunder) shall continue to remain and have full force and effect unless such illegality and unenforceability violates the very basis of these Terms.
- XIX. MISCELLANEOUS
- This Royals Coins Programme shall be held at the discretion of RMPL and RMPL may, at any point of time and without any prior notice or intimation to users or Participants, discontinue or modify this Royals Coins Programme.
- These Terms shall be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions and the privacy policy of the RR App and such all other policies, rules, regulations and terms of use referred to herein or provided on the RR App or may be prescribed by RMPL.
- The Participant acknowledges that RMPL hereby reserves the right to add, modify, delete or otherwise change the provisions of these terms and conditions, the benefits and rewards arising from the Terms at any time as determined appropriate by RMPL, without the prior notification to the Participant.
- It is hereby clarified that all Participants shall be bound by all terms outlined in Annexure A and Annexure B of these Terms. RMPL reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend, modify, or supplement the terms set forth in Annexure A and Annexure B of these Terms at any time.
