National, 17 April, 2023: Ahead of the much anticipated return of the Rajasthan Royals to their home turf of Sawai Mansingh Stadium after a gap of three seasons, Royals' supporters attending the match against Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday, 19th April 2023 will be greeted to cultural performances in the lead-up to the game which is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST. Renowned Rajasthani folk singer and composer Mame Khan, who has featured in the Rajasthan Royals' official new song 'Halla Bol' composed and sung by Amit Trivedi, will be headlining the act which includes other dance and musical performances.
The 35-minute enthralling dance and musical act will start at 5:50 PM IST at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and will include performances by Padma Shri Awardee and folk dancer Gulabo Sapera, who is known for the flamboyant dance style 'kalbeliya', along with upcoming, versatile singer and composer Anamta Khan, who has recently also performed at other sports events around the world.
More than 50 artists and dancers representing the Gulabo Sapera Dance Troupe will also grace the occasion and excite the 25,000 capacity sold out crowd at the Royals' home ground, while Mame Khan's and Anamta Khan's respective performances will also be supported by local artists and dancers to provide them with a global platform.
With the excitement palpable for the return of the IPL to the state of Rajasthan and especially to the city of Jaipur, these pre-match performances are aimed at providing an entertaining matchday experience to the fans who are attending the matches.
