Crispina Paula has always been passionate about sports and personal growth. For her, sport has a way of connecting people and bringing out their best qualities - teamwork, discipline, and confidence.
Her interest in cricket began in 2024, when NEOM introduced the game to women in the community. As someone who has always loved sport, she was curious to explore something new. “Cricket fascinated me because it combines teamwork and strategy. It challenges you to think, move, and communicate as one.”
When she joined the NEOM x Rajasthan Royals Women’s Cricket Initiative, Paula saw it as an opportunity to learn from professionals and engage with colleagues beyond the workplace. The programme, she says, became “a space to grow, both personally and physically,” helping her stay active, balanced, and motivated. One of Paula’s proudest moments came when she began scoring during matches, a role that deepened her understanding of the sport and allowed her to contribute in new ways. “Scoring gave me a sense of achievement. It made me appreciate every detail that goes into a game.”
She hopes to see more women take part, discovering the same joy and confidence that she found. “Sports are for everyone. The more we play, the stronger our community becomes.”
“Cricket reminded me that growth isn’t just about learning new skills - it’s about finding confidence in yourself.”
