For Aniket Sohani, cricket has been a lifelong connection to teamwork, discipline and inspiration throughout his life. With over 12 years of professional experience in the Middle East, he now serves as a Planning Manager with NEOM, balancing a demanding career with a deep-rooted love for cricket.
Growing up near Mumbai’s iconic Shivaji Park, Aniket was immersed in the sport from an early age. “Shivaji Park is not just a playground; it’s a source of endless inspiration. Watching aspiring cricketers train tirelessly taught me perseverance and teamwork.” Countless afternoons spent playing local tournaments and street matches instilled lessons that would carry into his professional life.
His involvement in the NEOM x Rajasthan Royals Community Cricket Tournament as a Group Leader allowed him to reconnect with that childhood passion. “NEOM’s partnership with Rajasthan Royals gave me the chance to be involved in a sport I’ve always loved - this time from a leadership perspective.”
Beyond the field, cricket has become his way to recharge and reset. Weekend matches offer a welcome break from work, helping him relax and stay grounded. Among his most memorable experiences, he recalls meeting Vikram Rathour during the 2025 Leadership Development Programme and having meaningful conversations with him, an experience he describes as truly unforgettable.
Aniket has watched the tournament grow year after year, bringing together players from all backgrounds. “It has become a platform for solidarity and cultural exchange. Fostering community spirit and inspiring future generations of players.”
“Every weekend on the field feels like a piece of home - the sound of bat and ball never stops inspiring me.”
