For Aneesh Karadan, cricket has always been a source of joy and connection - a sport that continues to shape his journey both on and off the field. Currently working as an FM Engineer in NEOM, Aneesh has carried his love for the game from his early days watching matches with family and friends to becoming a key part of the NEOM x Rajasthan Royals Community Cricket Tournament.

“The excitement of the game and the teamwork really drew me in,” he says, recalling the moments that first sparked his enthusiasm. That same passion led him to take on the role of Group Leader in the NEOM x Rajasthan Royals Leadership Programme 2025, an opportunity he embraced wholeheartedly. “I wanted to support the community and contribute to something meaningful that brings people together.”

In his role, Aneesh has supported the programme across multiple fronts, including scoring, umpiring, arranging teams, and preparing grounds. His dedication and hands-on approach made him an invaluable part of the tournament’s success. His efforts were recognised at the 2024 celebration, where he received a certificate and gift from the Rajasthan Royals team. “It meant a lot to be recognised,” he reflects.

Beyond his contributions, Aneesh says the initiative has had a lasting impact on his well-being. “It helped me relax, feel refreshed, and relive some of the fun and joy from my childhood. Meeting cricket legends Rahul Dravid and Kumar Sangakkara remains one of my proudest and most memorable moments.”

“Cricket has shown me that when passion meets purpose, great things happen - both on and off the field.”
