Pacer Kwena Maphaka and wicketkeeper batter Lhuan-dré Pretorius, both part of the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, will look to make their mark for the South African cricket team in the Namibia T20I Tri-Series 2026, starting in Windhoek on Friday.
The Proteas will square off against hosts Namibia and Zimbabwe in the T20I Tri-Series with all matches available to watch on live streaming in India.
The youngest South African to play international cricket having made his debut at 18 years and 137 days old for the Proteas, Kwena Maphaka has taken 18 wickets in 18 T20I matches.
His career-best of 4/20 against Australia in August 2025 also made him the youngest bowler from a Full Member cricket nation to claim a four-wicket haul in a men's T20I match.
Lhuan-dré Pretorius, who scored his maiden T20I fifty in the final of a Tri-Series against New Zealand in Zimbabwe last year, heads into the tournament in good form.
Pretorius struck his maiden T20 century last month, smashing an unbeaten 102 off 52 balls for San Francisco against New York in Dallas.
The Namibia T20I Tri-Series will begin with South Africa facing hosts on August 28. All three teams will square off against the others twice in the league stage before the two toppers clash in the final on September 6.
South Africa are the top ranked team in the tri-series in fifth spot. Zimbabwe are ranked 12th, while Namibia are ranked 17th.
The Proteas lead the head-to-head record, having won eight of their nine T20I meetings against the Chevrons, with one match ending in a no result. South Africa also beat Namibia in the only 20-over match between the teams.
