Rajasthan Royals dominate the head-to-head record against LSG, having won four of the six meetings against the team which was inducted in the Indian Premier League only in 2022. Lucknow have won twice.
Last season, though, LSG edged out RR by two runs in their only meeting at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Chasing 181 to win, Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 52-ball 74 gave RR the early momentum but LSG reeled the match back in their favour towards the end.
The match also saw a 14-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi announce himself to the world as he became the youngest player to ever play in the IPL.
Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow
Established in 2017, the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium or simply Ekana, is a state-of-the-art stadium with a seating capacity of 50,000 and is amongst the largest cricket venues in India.
It hosted its first international match in 2018, when India took on West Indies in a T20I match, marking international cricket’s return to the vibrant city after over two decades.
Since then, Ekana Stadium has staged multiple international matches across all formats and also served as a key venue during the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 held in India.
It has been LSG’s home since the 2023 season and has hosted over 20 IPL matches to date. RR is undefeated at the ground, having successfully chased down 196 to win their match by seven wickets in the 2024 season.
After the match against LSG, the Royals will head to Jaipur to host Sunrisers Hyderabad. It will be RR’s first match in Rajasthan, having played the earlier three home matches at the ACA Stadium in Guwahati.

Tickets for the LSG vs RR IPL 2026 match scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, will be available for online booking on the BookMyShow website and app.
Entry to the venue is permitted for all age groups. However, IPL tickets are required for anyone aged two years and above.
To ensure a seamless entry, fans are advised to have their tickets ready before arriving at the stadium. Gates will open at around 12:30 PM - three hours before the match.
The policy states that all IPL tickets are non-cancellable and non-refundable. Refunds will be issued only if the match is abandoned without a single ball being bowled.
