Wanindu Hasaranga won three top honours at the Sri Lanka Cricket Awards 2024 as he was named the best bowler in both ODIs and T20Is, besides bagging the best T20I all-rounder prize for his efforts in the shortest format.

The leg-spinning all-rounder finished as Sri Lanka’s leading wicket-taker across both white-ball formats last year, claiming 38 wickets in T20Is and 26 in ODIs.

He was also the top wicket-taker in ODIs globally in 2024.

Hasaranga’s contributions with the bat in T20Is – 179 runs scored batting in the middle and lower order – earned him additional recognition as the best T20I all-rounder.

The 2024 edition of the SLC Awards marked the return of the event after a seven-year hiatus, celebrating performances across formats for the calendar year.

Hasaranga, who became the fastest bowler to reach 300 wickets in T20 cricket, was earlier named in the ICC Team of the Year for 2024 in both T20I and ODI formats.

The Lankan all-rounder, who played for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025, also enjoyed a stellar debut campaign for the Jaipur team this year.

He finished as the team’s joint-highest wicket-taker for the season, alongside fellow countryman Maheesh Theekshana and Jofra Archer, with 11 wickets in 11 matches.

In T20 Internationals (T20Is), Hasaranga is the Sri Lanka cricket team's all-time leading wicket-taker with 131 scalps in 79 matches and seventh on the all-time list.
