Ravi Singh smashed his maiden List A hundred with an unbeaten 109 off 81 balls to steer Railways to a six-wicket win over Haryana on the opening day of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Set 268 for a win, Railways were wobbling at 63/3 in the 17th over when the 24-year-old left-handed batter walked in. Ravi began with caution, absorbing the pressure before shifting gears decisively to seize control of the chase.

Ravi Singh’s innings included 10 maximums and three fours. His defining contribution came in a match-turning 173-run stand with Upendra Yadav, who played a supporting role with a well-compiled 80 off 87 balls before falling in the 40th over.

Ravi Singh, acquired by Rajasthan Royals at the IPL 2026 auction, ensured there were no late stumbles, adding an unbeaten 34-run partnership with Ashutosh Sharma to take Railways home in just 43.4 overs.

The knock underlined Ravi’s rapid rise. In five List A matches since making his debut last year, he has now scored 218 runs at an average of 72.66 and a strike rate of 127.48, including one century and a fifty.
