Shimron Hetmyer became the 10th Rajasthan Royals player to score 1000 runs for the franchise during their IPL 2026 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday.
The hard-hitting left-hander scored 15 against KKR as he crossed the milestone to join the elite list of just 10 players to score 1000 runs for RR.
Former RR captain Sanju Samson is the leading scorer for the franchise having amassed 4027 runs in 149 matches with the team.
Shane Watson was the first player to score 1000 runs for the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

Shimron Hetmyer reached the 1000-run mark for the Royals after completing a quick two in the 17th over of the match against KKR.
He departed in the penultimate over of the innings after holing out at deep third off a Kartik Tyagi delivery.
A part of the franchise since 2022, Shimron Hetmyer has now scored 1004 runs in 60 matches at an average of 29.52 and a strike rate of 150.29 for the Royals.
He has also struck three fifties for RR with his best - an unbeaten 59 off 36 balls - coming against Lucknow Super Giants in his debut season with the Royals.
Hetmyer’s best season with the Royals also came in his debut campaign in 2022 when he scored 314 runs at an average of 44.86 and a strike rate of 153.92 to help RR reach the final.
Overall, Shimron Hetmyer has scored 1521 runs in 91 IPL matches at an average of 28.17 and a strike rate of 150.59 in the IPL.
