Riyan Parag starred for India A, emerging as the team’s top run-scorer in their 2-1 win in the unofficial ODI series over Australia A, which concluded at Kanpur’s Green Park Stadium on Sunday.
Consistent throughout the series, Riyan Parag made fifties in all three matches, including a 55-ball 62 in the decider.
Parag’s knock on Sunday included five fours and three sixes and helped India A chase down a formidable target of 317, set by the Australians.
Earlier in the tournament, Parag, who represents Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League, scored 67 off just 42 balls in the first match. His knock in the series opener was laced with five fours and as many sixes and helped India take a 1-0 lead.
The 23-year-old Indian batter was at it again in the second match, hitting six fours and a maximum en route to a 54-ball 58. However, India A lost the encounter by nine wickets (DLS method).
Parag’s overall tally of 187 made him the highest run-getter in the series. He also boasted an average of 62.33, a strike rate of 123.84 and struck nine sixes - the joint-most by a player in the series.

The right-handed all-rounder has already represented India at the senior level. He made his T20I debut for India in July last year and featured in ODI cricket the following month.
Across nine T20Is, Parag has scored 106 runs at a strike rate of 151.42 while also taking four wickets.
His only ODI outing came against Sri Lanka in Colombo, where he returned figures of 3/54 and chipped in with 15 runs.
Riyan Parag has featured in 53 List A matches so far, scoring 1922 runs at an average of 42.71. He has five centuries and 11 fifties to his name, with a highest score of 174. He has also picked up 53 wickets.
The Guwahati-born batter was a standout performer for the Royals in IPL 2025, finishing as the team’s second-highest run-scorer with 393 runs at a strike rate of 166.53. He also took three wickets.
