Fast bowler Kuldeep Sen registered his career-best bowling figures in a first-class cricket match as he finished with 9/131 over two innings against Jammu & Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 quarter-finals at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.

The 29-year-old quick, who will be part of the Rajasthan Royals squad in IPL 2026, returned with figures of 5/66 from 15 overs in the first innings and followed up with 4/65 in 18 overs in the second.

In the first innings, Kuldeep Sen dismissed Yawer Hassan, Shubham Pundir, J&K skipper Paras Dogra, fellow Royal Yudhvir Singh and Vanshaj Sharma for his third five-wicket haul in first-class cricket.

His career-best figures in an innings is 5/62 against Punjab in a Ranji match back in 2018.

In the second innings, the pacer completed his double over Yawer Hassan and Shubham Pundir before accounting for Abid Mushtaq and Auqib Nabi in the same over down the line.

Kuldeep’s previous best over two innings in a first-class match was 8/135, which he registered while playing for the Rest of India against Saurashtra in the 2022-23 Irani Trophy at Rajkot

He took 3/41 in the first innings before producing a match-winning 5/94 in the second.

Kuldeep Sen, who has represented India in ODI cricket, has now picked up 78 wickets in 29 first-class matches. He also boasts 14 wickets in 12 IPL matches, with best figures of 4/20.
