In an exhilarating Ranji Trophy match at Siechem Cricket Stadium in Pondicherry, Jammu & Kashmir clinched a nail-biting 19-run win against the home team, Pondicherry, thanks to standout performances from star all-rounder Abid Mushtaq and debutant Vanshaj Sharma. Both players remarkably secured 10 wickets each during the match, contributing significantly to J&K's victory on Day 4 of the match.

The match unfolded with J&K setting a first-innings score of 106, thanks to Sidak Singh's impressive 5-wicket haul for Pondicherry. In response, Pondicherry managed to take a lead with a total of 172, bolstered by half-centuries from Paras Dogra and Karthick, while Abid and Vanshaj each took five wickets, demonstrating J&K's bowling strength.

J&K's second innings saw them setting a total of 152, with Rashid and Pundir again making valuable contributions. Faced with a chase of 87 runs, Pondicherry's efforts were thwarted on the second day, as they struggled and eventually were all out for 67, thanks to the exceptional bowling from Sharma and Mushtaq, securing a memorable win for their team.
